All GILBERT protective wear meets the technical specifications of the International Rugby Board (IRB) and is approved for match play. From grass roots and school rugby right through to Elite International level, the range offers the perfect option for every player.

* Most enhanced padding system to date
* Triflex Padding - Triangular interlocking protective cells that flex in all directions. Gives a unique and perfect fit for every player.
* 12 ergonomically designed pads for ultimate protection
* Protection for ribs, kidneys, biceps, back and sternum
* Ergonomic padding design and dual material combination ensures players have a full range of movement
* Duo Mesh - Double layer mesh, designed to stretch in both directions and transfer moisture from the body.

Protection Technology

* Cavity Padding - Concave padded cells. Impact forces are absorbed trapping air to create an ‘air bag’ effect.
* Body Pads - All of our body pads are positioned in areas susceptible to soft tissue injury and are restricted to 5mm thickness to meet IRB requirements.
* Two Way Stretch - Base fabrics are designed to stretch in both directions for a comfortable fit.
* Flat Seams - All padded clothing is designed to be worn as an undergarment. All seams are sewn flat to avoid friction or discomfort.
